About :
Our application I-AMM, which stands for I App My Memory, is an application for seniors who have cognitive decline and have trouble maintaining their own activities and condition without the help of a caretaker. I-AMM allows these seniors to have access to music as a sensory therapy; to games as brain-exercising activities for memory, flexibility, speed, attention, and problem solving skills; to a memory book for recalling photos of family members and events; and to a calendar for accessing a schedule that users can edit and keep a track of.
There are several existing memory disorders, including but not limited to: Alzheimer’s Disease, Corticobasal Degeneration, and Huntington’s Disease. Although these conditions are incurable, there are pharmacologic treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies. Patients with these conditions must resort to heavily relying on caretakers to provide both treatments and therapies to achieve as effective a progress in helping stabilize the patient’s condition as they can. I-AMM allows for patients to utilize their interaction with the application.
